The cd has some read only material on it. How would I burn a copy of the cd so that he cannot make a copy for himself and return the original. He isn't that computer savy so any basic technique to stop the cd from being burned would be appreciated.

say play it safe and tell him you lost it. and that u'll make an other one then lend it to him( but in reality.....you never are)

for one the encrption software wont work like one guy said the other guy is right there is nothing you can do other than not loan the cd....

I say copy it yourself and leave out whatever it is you don't want him to have.

There's nothing you can do to prevent this. Your best option is not give it to him.
