Go at the hair so that the scissors are almost parallel to the neck. Cut short strokes making lots of layers and taper to a v shape overall.

I do my better half's hair using clippers from a salon supplies place, chemist or similar - they don't have to be too expensive but give a really good neat finish with lots of choice on length with the clip-on things that come with them (some come with DVD instructions as well)... you can practice on a long setting and then shorten it gradually to the length you want... once you know the length just jump right in! To get the hairline tidy take off the clip-on bit and turn the clippers over, then touch them to the line you want to make the hairline. Get him to sit up straight and look forward so the line won't be wonky! Good luck (o:

use a electric razor and set it on about a 3 and it will work well and taper the hair in witht he other hair

you can thin the hair and i believe you can buy a tool for that ...I would cut into it gradually and it should lay down and taper that way

No, but you might want to use a razor to taper it a little, then use an electric razor, to finish it off. :DDD
