coughing. Sneezing for me is caused by being exposed to direct sunlight. Dust particles can cause me to sneeze. It is an impulse. It does not mean you are sick. Coughing can be caused by slight tickle in the throat, but most likely it is caused by a virus. In short, coughing causes the most germs to spread. Ahchew!

both can spread pretty far. Are you wanting to know the amount of germs? Which spread the most amount? A cough comes from deep inside the lungs, so if you have an infection there would be more germs. A sneeze is more saliva. Your hands spread the most germs of all.

Actually, more germs are spread when you, say, touch a door knob that a sick person has touched. Contact is your worst enemy during cold and flu season. Wash your hands often.
