My neighbor has a 3 month old pitbull pup. Now that she is older he has put her out in the yard to live, there is a metal shed I have been told and a blanket but they are having trouble house breaking her so out she stays. That bothers me but what bothered me more was the last time I saw her, she looked bad and he said his friend was drunk and he had thrown up on her and he just left her that way and then he yelled at his girlfriend to give her a bath. I think he likes animals but he has a bad temper, and I'm not sure how the pup will do if it doesn't meet his expectations. You know, large, muscular, something to show off, she looks small, scared. When I held her she clung to me for dear life. I've been giving them treats for her and toys but I don't know how far I can go without offending them. What do you suggest?

Call the local equivalent of the RSPCA and have them deal with it. It is very sad when people dont look after their dogs. They dont deserve to have them.

as everyone mentioned you can report the abuse, just keeping it outside in a metal shed with a blanket is concidered cruelty in my state, don't worry about your neighbor finding out it was you ask to stay anonymous, explain to the animal control you don't want to start a war with the neighbor's you are just concerned for the little dog's welfare,if your neighbors get mad and acuse you just deny deny deny they will never know it was you, animal control may not take the dog from her owners but give them a warning to take better care of the puppy or she will be seized by them,it's the right thing to do and it will help you sleep at night knowing you saved the poor sweet thing thank you for being concerned about this little girl at least someone cares about her

This is exactly what makes good dogs go bad... If he is going to have a pitbull he needs to treat it in a way that it will not become aggressive... please do something before this dog becomes aggressive... this hurt me to read things like this because their is not much I can do... My neighbor when I was a child had a boxer that they kept tied to a tree. After years of no human companionship this dog became very aggressive... this made me become terrified of any dog and until a few years ago I was afraid to go near anydogs. thank god I am not afraid anymore.. My family now has three basset hounds... and while I am at school I stay with a lady who has a doberman... wouldn;t have thought so 3 years ago... but now I have a deep love for all dogs... but anyway you definitely need to do something before it is to late...

Don't let it get out of control. Pitt bulls have a bad reputation as it is, and some states have banned them. It would be ashame if the dog got mean and then taken away and evaluated to be unadoptable.
If people could see how lovable pitt bulls really are it would be great but too many bad owners training them to be attack dogs have ruined it.
I have a pitt bull and I nick named her lovable. I have had a lot of dogs in my life and she is the most lovable. Not a mean bone in her body.

others have suggested to take the dog but it would cause you legal problems

Sounds like the dog is well on its way to becoming another vicious pit bull. Maybe you can convince them to get rid of it since they are just leaving it out back anyhow. Dogs should not be left to live out back in a shed. I certainly wouldn't worry about offending them.

WHAT!!! THEM PEOPEL ARE CRAZY! if you really care about this dog then why not sneak over and snatch her when they aren't home and take care of her yourself. or call animal control to come check on the dog and if they think the dog is in harm then maybe you can offer to care for the dog and you can have her. the people will probably give her up if they dont care for her like they should. hope you help that dog out. whats the dogs name? poor poochy!!

I suggest reporting this. No animal deserves to be left outside like that and it sounds like he is not even taking care of her. I have a Pit Bull and can't imagine treating him like that. They need someone who will take care of them and take the time to train them properly. It doesn't sound like she is getting it from this guy. Please don't let it go any further.

who cares if they get offended if this was them and no one was caring for them would they let someone who wants to take care of them do it. A dog is a live being. Or you can take it and give it to someone. Im sure you would rather know it was being taken care of then not.

Calling the "animal cops" is the best thing. To the stupid people that think all pit bulls should die, thats so retarded, thats like saying all people should die because im pretty sure there are baby killing humans, we all must be bad then and deserve to die.... stupid ***
