I've always wanted an Alaskian malimute and I need a friend for my other dog and I thought an Alaskian Maimute would be nice.

Alaskan Malamute Puppies.

That is the CORRECT spelling for ALLLLL those BIG words.

Please do a little research BEFORE you get a breed....especially if you cannot spell it. That makes people think you may know ZERO about it.

Seeing as how there is no such thing as an "Alaskian Malimute", you are going to have a difficult time. To me, this says that you have't researched the breed at all, or you'd know how to spell it and you'd know that they aren't free. It's not a matter of being a bad speller, it's a matter of knowing the correct name and spelling of the dog you've "always" wanted.

I'm going to link to some sites on the Alaskan Malamute Club Of America website to ensure that you know what you are getting into. These are not dogs that should be gotten simply because you think they are pretty or because you live in snowy weather. They are a handful and need a special person to take care of them properly. I'm not saying that you aren't that person, but you really need to know what you are getting into clearly.

Also, I am a little concerned over the "free" need. Fine if you don't want to spend a lot of money to procure a dog, but don't forget how much a 120lb dog can eat, how much more medicine they need, and how expensive vet bills can be.

I'm also going to give you a rescue link that may help you in finding a less expensive dog that needs a home. But again, be sure that you understand what Malamutes are all about. http://www.malamuterescue.org/

You need to do research before you own any dog, especially if you don't know how to spell the breed's name correctly. Alaskan Malamutes.

Malamutes are a very active breed. They require a large amount of exercise *every day*, or they will destroy your house. A 10 minute walk once a day won't cut it.

They shed. A lot. You will need to brush them at least every other day, and your house will still be covered in dog fur. Can you deal with that?

Plus, if you want it for free, are you really going to spend the necessary money to give the dog proper care?

Please do your research. If you are unprepared for a large, extremely active breed like the Malamute, you will be unhappy and frustrated with the dog, and most likely end out giving it away again.

malamute are a lot of dog to handle if you have no experience with the breed.... no reputable person has free malamute puppies... if you insist on this breed search MALAMUTE RESCUE or go to AKC,ORG and get the malamute club of america's contact person and they will help you
