Why use illegal software when you can get an up to date legal operating system and all the programs you will ever need for free. Check out ubuntu.com.

Windows XP Professional will have to be activated within 30 days of installing it. It can only be installed on 1 computer UNLESS the computer other computers have a key for Windows XP Pro then you may use the same cd for installation. You will have to call Microsoft to activate which is really fast becauset they aren't worried about piracy on XP anymore because Vista is not their top priority.

It can be activated, but once the WGA software is installed then it will be flagged as a pirated copy and you won't be able to download certain updates and patches. In the future they may be able to disable any copy that's determined to be pirated - they have the capability and have hinted that they may use it at some point.

Legally, you cannot use a copy of XP pro on more than one PC.

Whether or not the activation catches you, you can only LEGALLY install it on one PC.

And, yes, M$ does find and prosecute people who break the law.
