Do not move to London , it is over populated and there is too much competition for work , unless you work in a creative field or pest control.Manchester is not too far from Scotland for visits and is vibrant , good social scene and cheap for an English city.

Home Counties. Stay out of London, per se, but look around anywhere in the outskirts of the metropolis. Cambridge area is also booming.

Come down to Leeds and be a bus driver! They're always looking out for new people. The money's not great to start but it goes up after a few months to somewhere reasonable, then again after a few years or so
