Recently I have had a tendency to get very wound up by little things, to the point where I will trash rooms or punch walls just to vent my anger. I don't know how else to diffuse it. Any suggestions? (I really cannot do professional anger management or anything like that)

I understand what you are going through because I have been in very similar circumstances. I have learned to take a time out, and also to journalize my personal feelings. I would love to hear how things work out for you:

Journal your feelings at the time you have them. This does 2 things, it gets your thoughts off what you want to do, & it also gives you a calm down time or if you like a time out.
If this don't do what you need please get to a pro. about it.
If you keep on the track you are on you will end up in jail or dead.
You can have a better life, just hang in there & get the help you need.
Good luck.

well i think the first step is to admit u have an issue with anger. then i think u should get to the root of the anger. figure out why you are angry.....is there someone that hurt you inside and ur trying to vent out how you're feeling?
well i hope that helps =)
