My sept father was recently found out he has lung cancer? Does anyone know much on this topic?

My husband thought he hurt his back at work. We went to the hospital. They told him he had pneumonia and a cracked rib. Pain was severe went back 3 more times in 2 days. Finally a tech saw something. He was diagnosed with lung cancer March 20th. He had a tumor on his spine and in his brain. Went thru radiation, gamma knife procedure, chemo and took a drug called tarceva. By the time it was diagnosed it had spread all over. Lung cancer is very aggressive. Sadly, my love passed on June 6th. You need to ask doc about tarceva it has had good results. It is very expensive but worth it if it saves your life. Your step father probably has a tumor on his spine. It needs to be treated now or he could be paralyzed. i know not much about lung cancer, but i do know enough, to tell you make sure you tell him how much you care and love him now,while hes doing goods. if you love and care for him, spend lots of time with him,let him know your feelings, don't hold in cause it will always bother you,my stepfather died while me and my sister were in high school,she was mad at him,at a grounding he put her on for shoplifting,so she never told him she loved him, sorta like ill teach him, well shes 44 now and it still bothers her that she didn't tell him , she loved him,she wishes she did, so get your feeling off your chest,you'll all feel better in the long run, I'm sorry for your step father,god bless you and him.try praying for him,it cant hurt
