I occasionally take Klonopin for Anxiety, (a benzodiazapene) this may result in a positive test, can they deny me employment even thought I have diagnosed condition and a prescription?

You do not need to tell them about it. If they find it in your test and ask you about it make sure you can provide them proof that it was prescribed to you. There shouldn't be any problems if you can.

They can't deny you employment and depending on where you live, they can't tell your employer you take Klonopin.

They will have you fill out paperwork before the test. It will ask you to list all medications you take. Simply list it and you will have no problem at all!

No, prescription drugs do show, but that is not what they are looking for. Mainly Marijuana, Cocaine, heroin etc. And if it is positive, bring your presciption to the prospective employer and your Dr's # just in case. YOu should be fine. Good luck.

It's the discretion of the business whether they want to employ you or not. I would definitely tell them about your situation beforehand. Make sure you provide enough documents to support it too.

Take your medication to the test and advise them of it.
Once noted , they may pass it, but if you try to hide it and test positive . . .
