Alright i just asked a question about layers in ur hair, but now i want to know is how long does it take for them to need to be redone? I

It depends on how mush damage you do to your hair daily, and how fast your hair grows.
people who do tons of damage to there hair can make there layers break and look really bad in about a week!

I have layers, and I have my hair trimmed every three or four months. This seems to work for my, though I could easily have my hair trimmed more frequently. It is recommended that hair be trimmed every 6-8 weeks.

depends on yourself.
i get them re done with every hair cut obviously.. but i rarely get a hair cut.. maybe twice a year... its your choice.
they won't look bad and will stay the same length forever or until you chop them off.
My suggestion: play with it.. leave them for a while and let your hair grow.. maybe you'll find out you like them better with long hair.. or maybe short... maybe in the long run you'll want to add more layers.. or maybe you'll want less... give it time and choose.. there's plenty of options with layers.
