Nothing, why waste your time - he's your ex. If you told him you are sorry there is nothing else to do. If you want him to not feel bad, well that's not under your control, so you need to let it go. He's entitled to his feelings.

It depends on how serious the bashing was as to how long you're gonna have to wait for "forgiveness". And maybe you can buy your way into his heart, or forgiveness, as some of the other respondents have said, but if my ex tried that with me, she'd better have a brand new Porsche of the highest quality in my driveway as the "gift", or she'll just be adding more misery onto her already upset self. I don't like to feel someone's trying to buy their way into my "good graces", that is, of course, unless you're doing it with a 2007 Porsche 911, or whatever numbered version that is now. Or, one of those new Audi diesels that get 70-something mpg, and are as quiet as a gas car and fast as a "bat-out-of-helll". Otherwise, say your sorry, meaningfully, and wait, as long as he wants. God Bless you.

How often do you do this? Maybe it's a habit . . .
All you can do is apologize. Keep the emphasis on him and how he feels. Don't explain away your behavior or focus on your feelings. You did something to be sorry for. So act like it.

You shouldn't have bashed him. but give him time and try talking to him face to face.

Give him a gift and some time to think. He'll get over it. Just make sure he doesn't think you don't care.

Learn from your mistakes. He is gone from your life and it is your own fault for behaving stupidly.
