My head hurts mildly, as does my body (especially my stomach and upper legs), my vision gets blurry like a film is covering my eyes, then I blink and it's all better. I have been coughing (but they're dry - not all snotty), and I'm tired.
Is this a cold, the flu, or PMS + allergies?
Please don't tell me to go to the doctor. I just want to hear from those of you with personal experience or expertise on the subject. Thanks :)

Am I. Incognito - Actually, I'm in college and don't have to have my parent's permission to get out of school. I appreciate your sarcasm. Thank you.

i know you don't want to be told to go to the doctor but due to your headaches, pain in your legs and the blurry vision that is the best thing for you because it can be something far worse than the flu a cold or allergies along with your pms... if you didnt state those symptoms (blurred vision and headaches) i would just say you were probably getting a cold, being that you didnt i suggest you go to the doc or make an appointment for neurology.

Body aches and a cough sound to me like the flu. Kinda strange about the eyes being blurry however. My brother was just at the Dr. today and they told him it was the flu. Theres a lot of that going around lately. He also had a fever and sore throat, but everyone is different.
Feel better soon =)

Well, if you don't want to be told to go to the doctor. I would suggest you drink a large glass of room temperature water. Then get a very small glass of warm, warm water, put a 1/2 of a teaspoon of baking soda in it and a pinch of salt, stir and drink. Then drink some more room temperature water. IF you have the flu or some kind of bacteria in your intestines that is causing you to be sick you will throw up or you will need to go potty. So stay close to the bath room. You needed to drink all that extra water to maintain fluid in your body, stay hydrated. The mixture you drank will help kick out the virus out of your digestive system. I use to use this method with my kids when they were little. They never missed much school for the flu.

My niece had this same thing.
She had something inside her eyes (that jello that stays between the cornea and the white part of the eye), and it was getting too dense. She took some medicines and it went away so fast.
I read you dont wanna see a doctor but it will get worse.
About the coughing... don't worry... it's a nervous cough, a defense. You are probably so anxcious about it that triggered it.
Calm down and ask yourself why not see an eye doctor.
Hugs,
V.

sounds like the flu or a cold. If you have a fever its the flu no fever a cold. As for youreyes if you do like I do and veg out on the computer like I do when I am sick I would guess it is eye strain but it could also be the cold is starting to block your tear ducts. Increase vitamin c and rest as much as you can

Sounds like you just want a day off school. Be sure to stick the thermometer on a light bulb when your parents aren't looking. A temperature of 120 is ideal.

Could be the flu, where I live, it's seriously going around bad. Try something called Tamiflu--get it at Wal-Mart.
