Why are so many Christians being so rude in response to the question? She seems to be asking in a respectful manner.

Every time you mock someone who asks an honest question about your beliefs, aren't you alienating another person? Aren't you making it less and less likely that they will want to convert?

Besides, it's really conceited to act like everyone should understand YOUR religions beliefs completely. After seeing this, I would think twice about trying to learn more about your beliefs, lest I be teased as well.

I don't mean to generalize because I've also noticed that some Christians have been nice in answering this question. Good for you.

Just because there were dinosaurs before humans, doesn't prove there not to be a god. If you read the bible, you'll see that Adam and Eve were restricted to the Garden of Eden and weren't allowed to leave it, the were immortal until' Eve ate the apple, that means they could have lived a very long time before the apple problem. I don't personally believe there was and Adam and Eve I don't think that's who we all derive from, but if you read what the bible writes about that you may understand that a little better. hope that helps.

Some Christians believe in dinosaurs and other Christians don't. One cannot refute the fact, however, that dinosaur fossils have been discovered and dug up, therefore, they existed at one point or another.

Christian scientists are divided on the issue. One side argues that natural selection (or evolution) resulted in the development of dinosaurs and like animals. Strict creationists do not believe that these creatures were created by God, and that it is impossible to believe that they existed, notwithstanding the reality of what archaelogists have found.

So, yes, there is a difference of opinion among Christians regarding this matter, but there is also a difference of opinion among nonChristians.

I can not speak for other Christians but I do believe in dinosaurs. Genesis says that God created the great sea monsters. Animals were created during the 5th creative day. Each creative day was at least 6,000 years long. We are still in the seventh day of creation. The bible never says that the seventh day ended. According to bible geneology, Adam was created in 4027 at the end of the 6th day. Add our current year of 2007 plus one year because there is no 0 year and you get 6035 years. So the seventh day has lasted that many years so far.

I wonder that too. I'd like to believe there is a God watching over us. But there is actual evidence pointing to dinosaurs and cave men. Why wasn't this in the Bible? I think very conservative Christians are close-minded to science, even though the proof is there that we may very well have not descended from Adam and Eve.

I am a Christian and I believe and I know that dinosaurs existed before human beings were created by God! God created dinosaurs too.
Read your Bible, dear girl. Read Genesis 1: 1 to 31.
God created the saurs on the 5th day (God´s "day", not a 24 h day) and God created man on the 6th day (God´s "day").
It is written there in the Bible but also archaeologists, biologists, geologists, etc., are very clear: human race appeared much after dinosaurs did a(about 64 millions of years after the extinction of dinosaurs).

God bless you!

Reading suggestion, very interesting and very basic:

Absolutely Not What could you be thinking girl?

Dinosaurs are not mentioned in the Bible! Didn't you know that?
In the beginning God Said... let there be light etc and them made Adam and Eve.. But there were never any mention of terradayctyles or raptors.. so was it really the beginning?

This is one of the pitfalls of all the Christian beliefs... no homonids in the time of the dinosaurs, but we have God doing all this stuff " In the beginning" ohh sorry this must be the second beginning!!!

Adam and Eve is just a story. There are Bible literalists that think the human race originated from just two people, but I'm not one of them.

Yes, there are dinosaur bones in the museums, so there were dinosaurs. It's undeniable.

I do and I'm Christain- but to my mind, there is no time for God- it is all in the Now, so why wouldn't evolution and the creation be compatable and/or the same-what's a million years to God? And speaking of Adam and Eve- I tend to see them as those who first spiritually realized that they have a divine choice and a spirit, therefore raising themselves intellectually and spiritually above animals etc and out emotionally of the garden. Also, who did their sons marry? They did-but no one seems to be bothered-where did their wives come from? Its all parables mixed with history to present teachings-and wonderful they are but I don't forget to read EVERYTHING that helps and so I guess I'm a "hippie" Christain---

Yes. Dinosaurs are pre-flood creatures (they were destroyed in the flood). What you call an ice-age, Christians call the Great Flood. BTW, the Bible recored the Great Flood long before the ice age theory.
