The man quoted in the Bible had more than one affliction, He was blind, He could not speak, and he was possessed by the devil.

The miracle was that Jesus was able to heal the blindness, heal the problem with his speech, and free him of the demon. This indicates total healing and a new life for the poor fellow.

Blindness does not mean demon possession. Most demon possessed persons had their sight.
