Basically, you need to have a trade or qualification in demand by Australia, pass a medical and police check, provide proof of your ability to understand English and pay a large sum of money.

Depends on what you want to know ? Best place to go is http://www.immi.gov.au/index.htm Perhaps if you where more specific i could help you answer your question. But I'll take a stab in the dark.
There are a number of visa options available for people who want to migrate permanently to Australia and who have the required skills and qualifications.
*Workers
*Business People
*Family Members
*Refugee or Humanitarian Entrants
*Returning Residents
Anyone who is not an Australian citizen also needs a valid visa or authority to enter Australia. This visa/authority needs to be obtained before travelling to Australia. Special provisions apply to New Zealand citizens and to people eligible to transit Australia without a visa.
The visa or authority to enter Australia that you need depends on how long you want to stay in Australia and what you want to do during your stay.
Please note that airlines may refuse to allow travellers to board the aircraft if they do not have a valid travel document (eg passport), or valid visa/authority to enter Australia.

from what I know as we looked into this as well it's pretty straight forward if you have a qualification or skill and experience that the Australians want like Accountants, Doctors, Teachers, electricians etc. To migrate as a skilled person you have to pass the points test (current pass mark is 120) and be in good health and have good English skills. There are other ways to get in ie. if you have famliy that live there they can sponsor you or if you find a job first your employer can sponser you. I would check the website mentioned above for all the info

G'day,
I will check the Department of Immigration website. I also provide a link to a migration lawyer down in Melbourne who may be able to help you.
Good luck and welcome to Oz.
