Red or white?
I love Pinot Noir...try Camelot if you can find it....inexpensive and good.

Well wines ultimately in my opinion can not be dictated by price, they really are very peculiar depending on region, soil, grape, process, temp, type (malbec, meritage, cab, amorone etc..)
If you want top dollar spent on your wine I would say this and they are all primarily reds but the whites are very special and distinct, the following bottles hit the 50-120 dollar range, WHICH I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND UNLESS PALATE IS EXPERIENCED. Always generally decant red the flavor significantly changes sometimes it wont matter. Okay here's the pricey wines, Groth, far niente, Silver Oak, Santa Margaretta, Merryvale, Stag's Leap, Ferrari Carrano, Luigi reghitti
Now cheaper whites/reds under 30 dollars: Louis Martini, Chateau St Michelle (not Jean, yuck) Villa Puccinni, Tommasi vineyards, Alamos, Mondavi, Pepperwood estates, Parker Station, Fetzer, Kendall Jackson, and a cheap 3 dollar bottle crane lake., yellow tail Now some of those are a very reasonable in cost, some seem cheap and trashy and know this they actually are very tasty on those nights that your indecisive, wine really is something that you need to experience with an open mind, I hate to say this but wine drinkers dont like risk, not all, but you have to open up your palate and when you begin to do so you will see what complimetns if your budget one week doesnt allow more expensive dont buy it but if it does go for it. Wine vineyards produce a variety not all good but not all bad, taste test thats teh only way you will satisfy those taste buds
PS MY SPELL CHECK ISNT WORKING SORRY FOR GRAMMATICAL ERRORS

Crash course in wine,
Quick rule of thumb, if you're looking at the mountains of choice in a supermarket, look out for bottles with glass crests on them, thats usually a sign of a better wine at the up to £20 level you'll find there. If you're into red wine look for a Gevrey Chambertain, thats one of my favourite burgundys, or at the mental money level theres the Mouton Rothschilds, last one of those I bought was in France (hence cheaper) and it was a magnum but it was £245.
Ultimately dont get fooled into thinking that wine has to be expensive to be good quality, the Californian reds have been superb for the last 3 or 4 years and they can had for sensible money.

Jacob's Creek Reisling is a delicious white wine...not too heavy, with a good body and refreshing flavour and only about € a bottle in Ireland so should only be around £7.00stg.
Any of the Chilean Red Wines are also very good and are not expensive.

this is fairly extremely puzzling to purchase undesirable wine in the united kingdom at the instant. this is principally a be counted of selection. purple wines are graded in lots of supermarkets, in accordance with how finished-bodied they're. make certain whether you like the overwhelming intensity of a great Rioja or want something much less helpful. If uncertain attempt to discover a nicely recommended member of team.

How about any wines by Brown Brothers they're all very good? Or you could buy whatever you fancy from Virgin Wines then thanks to their policy you'll be able to claim a refund if you don't like any of their wines!

A decent red is Opus 1, it costs between £100 and £180 but is superb, it hails from the Rothschild estate and is well worth the experience

each has his/hers own pallet on wine, it has nothing to do with the price!
I personally love "red Cabernet sauvignon" from the Chilean or Australian region!
Can pay from £3.99 to £15.99 and over!
it is all down to the grape, the region, and what wine, red, white, etc you prefer!
