This is something that I have been strongly considering myself on how to change this. I think the only way to do this is to educate people on the severity with brain disorders that often lead to Suicide. I'm making a post myself on ideas as I definately want to get more involved on this. Jan 2nd was the 2nd time in my life that suicide has touched my family.

First, learn all you can about the different issues about mental illness. Then you educate those who will listen. Remember, some will reject knowlege due to ignorance or just plain meanness.
