I rescued a 1 year old golden retriever mix from the spca. She recently had a litter of pups. Before I took her home she was spayed. I introduced her to my 12 year old female lab. So far they are getting along fine. My problem is the new golden has a WEIRD behavior I can't get her to stop. She stands over my lab while she lays down. When I try to move her and tell her no she lays on her back and wagges her tail! Then she tries to sneak over to the dog again. It is odd! It takes several attemps to make her stop 15 to 20 times.
What can I do to make her stop?

It sounds like she is trying to get the other dog to play. Why try to stop it? It obviously only bothers you, and not the other dog. When the other dog is tired of it, she will let the other know.

It actually is likely to be a dominance move. My female does that from time to time with my male. Honestly, I'd leave it be. They have to establish their own relationship. You can assert your dominance as leader of the pack, but even within the pack there are the top peons and the bottom peons. As long as she's not attacking while she perches up there, there's no harm.
