Lately I've been getting wound up by things a lot more than I usually would, even small disagreements can leave me so angry that I trash rooms or punch walls. I don't know how to deal with it. Any advice?

There's really no way I can do anything like professional anger management. I just need to know if anyone has any advice on controlling it for myself

hi there, I don't think you need anger management it sounds to me like you might have a depression problem. This is exactly the way I was before the doc put me on nerve meds, now that I am on them I feel great and am doing much better. Depression , can be hereditary so check this out in both sides of your family , hope this helps some

You gave you self advice...go to anger management.
Meanwhile, when you get into a situation like that, go away from what is pissing you off. Take a time out so to speak. This anger might be from something else you have been holding in, and you are directing it towards the wrong people. You should figure out what the real reason is.

Don't deal with it. Stop it. Go to some classes, and try to learn some self-control. Punching a wall requires a decision to punch the wall. When you are getting mad, try to slow down your mind and think about what you are going to do. Whatever you are mad at can't be any worse than the way you act after wards.

Your title says it all...since you are incapable of controlling it on your own, consider Anger Management classes.
