Chicken Pox (Varicella) virus is an awful virus. Once you contract it you will have blisters all over your body. Usually doctors prescibe Famvir and ask to put Calamite lotion to soothe the terrible itching. After you heal and your Chicken Pox symptoms are gone the virus does not leave our system but becomes comatose in our nervous system (roots of spinal cord). Many people above 50 or those that have their immune system compromised, or people that are under a great deal of stress can "wake" the virus up causing a very awful condition called Herpes Zoster (shingles). If untreated within 72 hours the virus may even damage your nerves causing Neuropathy or PHN (Post-herpetic Neuralgia). There is a new vaccine against Herpes Zoster.

The main symptom is a bunch of itchy spots anywhere on your body. Mostly over a good portion of your body. You would need calamine lotion or something to help keep the itchiness down. You may have a fever at first, but it will go away. I have a friend, who as an adult, got chicken pox, and even some of them were in her mouth. I request that if you have not been around someone with chicken pox, please get a vaccine for it instead. Chicken pox has, in the years past, especially before the vaccine, sometimes caused death. It is a serious disease. So children, and (as far as I'm concerned) adults should get the vaccine. Take care.

it will make you run a fever and be irritable about a day before the blisters show up. The blister start out looking like large ant bite but will bust and start getting a yellow crust as it drys. You will becontagious until the very last blister scabs over and goes away. It takes about two weeks . Later in life you can get shingles because the disease never leaves you body but goes domant. If you haven't had them go get the varicella shot because the chickenpox are not fun

I had them in my eyes when I was little. I would go to the doctor just to be sure. I don't even remember what happened to me other than my eyes were extremely itchy
