My friend and I have been wanting to get hair extensions, mostly just to add chunky color. I haven't checked to see how much it would be to get it done in a salon yet, but im sure its costy. I would like to invest in a kit anyway. I want to buy my supplies at Sally's beauty supply www.sallybeauty.com , but I am not aware of everything that I need. Can anyone help?
Thank you!

Your right it can be costly. I found a line called Donna Bella Milan that is very competitively priced. I bought a kit about 1 year ago for around $250.00. I'm not sure if the price has gone up or not but the product was amazing. It also came with a DVD that taught me how to do it. I watched this (& re-watched it) and now do hair extensions once or twice a week in my salon.

You need to first decide what type of process you want to use. I have always used a bead method (where you squeeze the hair and the extension into a bead) or a bond method (where the hair is glued to the extension). Both have worked well and are about the same price.

Either way you will need the right tools and maybe some hair to practice with first.

You'll also want to buy a color ring so you can match exactly what color of extensions you want to buy...unless you are going to color it afterwards.

Hope this helps!

Go to www.JessicaSimpsonhair.com

Her extensions are good beilive it or not. Just because they have her name on the label doesnt mean she designed them or anything. They really look nice as well. And there around $80 which isnt that bad for real looking extensions made from human hair that last forever seeing as all you do is clip it in
