i recently moved across the country leaving all my friends behind. i have changed a lot. i cry a lot easier and there seems to be extremely high periods where i'm really happy and i love everything. And extremely low periods were i start thinking some pretty bad stuff. The transition between the two is rather fast, sometimes i don't even realize. Also i have been switching letters when i writing and spelling easy things wrong. i'm talking a lot less, and i've become overly consious of my self and my looks and what i say and do. i used to be fun and happy. now its different. i am afraid of eveything, i think. i am afraid to enjoy things and have fun. i am afraid of doing things wrong. i am also put under a lot of pressure right now to make some big decisions. i'm really confused, afraid, and angery. please help!

Look - you can't go thinking you have every clincial diagnosis in existence. You have experienced a major move, change of culture, loss of everything old and overwhelmed by everything new. This is considered one of the most stressful things people do and rates as high as the death of a loved one. Kay? So give yourself a break. Realize it is a big adjustment. Can't hurt to talk to a counselor but Im wondering if you just need a good friend. Sometimes, it's the little things that make everything better. Don't give up hope and remember everything you go thru just makes you stronger in the end even if it does not feel like it at the time.

Find someone to talk to. A big move like that is a trauma, and you sound like you need help to deal with it. A counselor can help you sort out if you need to talk to a doctor or not. Don't make any big decisions while you are feeling like this; tell whoever is pressuring you to back off.
A lot of people have a delicate brain chemistry that a trauma like this can push over into imbalance. If this is the case, you may need medication. There is nothing wrong with that; if you developed diabetes, would all these nutjobs be telling you to think positive and you won't need insulin?? Well, some of them would, but they usually wear tin-foil hats. :) You are not alone, you are not "crazy", and you can get through this; you just need a little help right now.

I'm in a similar situation and have noticed some of the things you mentioned in myself. As long as you realize the problems you're having exist only in your own head then you can change them for yourself. Get involved in as many interactive things as you can. Finding new friends you can learn to relax around and have fun takes time. Just be sure you don't withdraw and avoid new people and situations or you will be a lot longer getting back to your old self.

personally I don't feel seeing a doctor is the right thing because if they prescribe a drug your simply coating your problems with an inhibitor which is not a resolution to your situation.
I went through something similiar and in fact still have the happy to sad to angry feelings but it's all perfectly natural.
The hardest part like you said is finding what makes you happy. You have to stop worrying about other people's opinions of you, there is way to much worry about appeasing everyone in the world today. if you fake who you are for real then people will only love that fake bit of you till you get sick of it and change again then lose people's love and get even more depressed so just be you and surround yourself with the people who love you for you it's the best remedy there is, also find something you LOVE to do and embrace it full on and never lose it because keeping yourself happy with yourself is just as important.

It sounds like depression. The move may have triggered it. It could just be a temporary set back. Find someone to talk to. Depending on your age; you can talk to a consular at school or a co-worker. Maybe make an appointment with your primary doctor and she/he can see if you might need meds. Sometimes you might need them only for a while or maybe longer. You might not need them at all. Just find someone to talk to. Someone who will listen and not judge you.

Sounds like your clinically depressed. You need to see a doctor and describe these symptoms to him or her. You may need to be on medication. The way you described changing moods quickly sounds like bi polar disorder (manic depressive) but I don't know if that can be triggered by depression and if you were like that before you moved. So see a doctor and good luck.

Nobody, that test is enough to tell you that doctors and those that set these tests up don't know what they are talking about. Go to www.cchr.org and watch the videos of the pysch telling the camera that there are no cures and no real tests for mental illness. It is all a ploy to drug you or shock you. Go look for yourself.
Then go to www.dianetics.org.
