Ragu?
Ok, if you want it home made:
1 can tomato sauce
1 can diced tomatoes
1 - 2 T Italian Herbs
1/4 cup good olive oil
1 tsp sugar
1/2 cup good white wine
Blend and season to taste with lots of pepper and kosher salt. Simmer for 15 minutes.
If you want to add meat, brown hot turkey sausage until crumbly and 1/2 yellow onion, diced, and add to tomato mixture.
For a non-traditional sauce, try
fresh diced tomatoes
fresh basil
olive oil
balsamic vinegar (dash)
shaved parmesan
pepper
kosher salt
Toss the above with hot pasta

This is my favorite spaghetti sauce. I have never found one better, and spaghetti is my favorite food group.
List of Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
2 cans Campbell's Tomato Soup
1 medium onion
1 Tablespoon Vinegar
1 teaspoon Oregano
1/2 teaspoon Basil
1-1/2 teaspoons garlic powder or 1 clove,minced.
1 can water
Recipe
Brown ground beef and onion. Add everything else and mix well. Let simmer on low until the sauce thickens.
I double or triple the recipe and freeze the rest, it freezes great! (I also add extra ground beef, double all the spices except vinegar, and have teriffic sloppy joe's). One or the other is always in my freezer, If it is sloppy joes, thaw, add 2 cans tomato soup, 1 can water, 1 T vinegar and have sauce again.

1) sautee up some garlic, onions, mushrooms, and hamburger or italian sausage (salt and pepper to taste)
2) Deglaze pan with a little wine or vodka (deglaze means put it in while the pan is hot, it makes the liquid boil)
3) Add 2 or 3 cans plain tomato sauce.
4) Add a sprinkle of basil and oregano and thyme
Voila!

the fastest is cut up a bunch of olive oil and cook at low heat (so you don't burn the garlic) in oil with salt, pepper, and - if you like - some hot-pepper flakes. Add parmesan after you put it on the pasta
