Absolutely not! Volleyball was first played by men. It came about only 4 years after the game of basketball was invented. The year was 1895. Volleyball was designed to be a combination of basketball, baseball, tennis, and handball by William G. Morgan.
Women only officially came to play volleyball in the latter half of the 20th century.

NO way! volleyball started as a guy sport amazingly but you see more women playing it now. still guys playing volleyball doens't mean their gay. Is it gay for a guy to play softball? Sports isn't only defined by gender. There is an WNFL out there people just don't know it. Women have also played in the Major league for baseball. Sports are for everyone. trust me, I've broken through the barriers to play baseball and became the only girls in the state of VA to play in an allstar tournament

No guys who play volleyball are cool and it makes the game alot more interesting and intense but only if the guys are playing for real and not jackin' around.

well at least dont wear spandex! lol but no I remeber we would always go watch the guys play in tournaments! trust me you'll have a tons of spectators at qualifiers!
