I know that you are allowed to take cameras on a plane. But are you allowed to take pictures while you are on the plane? Like out the window, of the clouds and all that stuff???

Yes you are allowed. I take pictures all the time when I'm on a plane and I have never been told that I'm not allowed, I have even taken a video when landing in London. If your on a night flight, make sure you turn the flash off because it might bother some people who are trying to sleep, and it might freak some people out with the flash.

They tell you not to have anything out when the plane is taking off and landing in case the plane flips over and starts to crash and everything starts flying everywhere, but cameras are small, and that probably won't happen lol.

During take off and landing they usually ask that no electronic equipment is to be used but a lot of people still take pictures and film!

During flight is fine. If you want a picture of the flight deck or ideally you sat on the pilots chair its still possible on the ground. just nicely ask a cabin crew before landing and they can sometimes sort this out for you subject to available time.
