If A God exists where is the proof?

Question

I am tired of trying to believe in something, that never shows itself. I am teetering on the edge of withdrawing my new born again christian belief. I am starting to feel like all that the people in the religion want is my money so they can live in their fancy houses and have their fancy swimming pools and designer clothes. Where is the fellowship that was supposed to happen? When I call for help with a problem, no one returns the call because they have their own stuff going on, is that how it is supposed to be
I am a honest and good person, yet I have hardship after hardship, no matter how hard I try. I know you all are going to say that satan is causing all the hardship, but why doesn't God step in and help?? I have prayed and prayed and prayed, not only for myself but for others also. Does he pick and choose who he helps out??
I believe that we have a soul, and that when we die our soul goes to a better or different place, but I am not sure about this whole christianity thing

I mean, I am really struggling with this right now, like I am being torn between two different things, it really hurts inside.

Proof you ask, Look around. Has man ever been able to reproduce what God has created. Ever look to the heavens at the stars at night. How about how a huge tree can come from a small seed?> Of course God exist. where is He> mind you , if you ar a Christian He is there. Be Patient. As to answer your question about fellowship. Perhaps the people you have met that are Christians just aren't clicking with you. Try another Church. Remember, Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven. Why doesn't God step in? Christ could have called 10,000 angels to step in and stop his Crucifixion, but he did;t. Thank God he didn't. The trial and tribulations you are going through are for a reason. It will make you stronger for someone else one day. Trust me. Everything you are going through happens for a reason. Relax, study His word and reach out to others, even if you need to try a different Church. When I moved to a new area, I tried over a dozen Churches before I found one I liked.

There is a test, based on the ontological evidence, that you can do to try the existence of a God. Pray, and ask said God to provide you with a clear proof for his existence within a week. After that week, if you have got a proof that It exists, send me the evidence. If not, there are only three reasons I can think of that are plausible: (1) The God in question does not exist, (2) Said God does not want to for whatever reason or (3) Or the God can't give you this evidence because is not powerful enough. Because of the ontological evidence, alternative (2) and (3) are not worth your worship and thus they equal alternative (1). So if you get no response from the God you're praying to then it doesn't exist.

Now, there's a lot more Gods to choose from then the Christian one and many different religions. I'm sure in time you'll find one that fits your needs.

Actually, not really. people in christ have changed through out the year. and people need the money to support missionaries, and the church that they serve in, do you really think that God wants you money? He just wants to know if you're willing to give. and i mean give whole-heartedly. and the whole fancy junk with the designer clothes, what the heck, i mean screw the fancy stuff. look at all the people around you that are pastors, and missionaries that travel. they don't have anything but to depend on God. and when you call for help in a problem, don't think that God is just going to come help you, i mean he will help you but you have to do you part in what your problem is. that means like wat you can do to help. but don't worry God with take care of everything. and if you think God is not caring about you, you're wrong. and if you call people and they don't reply. just try to help yourself, or pray. it always feels better after prayer because you know then, you can follow through. and you may be honest and a good person, but actually we all are bad people, we are desendants from the people that killed Jesus. but everyone has a hardship every once in a while. if you pray to God the only anwsers you're going to get is Yes, No, or Wait. and maybe this is a test to test your faith, in wat you believe. and God is never late, he has his things, and his own timing. you may not realize but if you do good things, He is returning you a gift, by giving you talents, parents, your character. God doesn't favor anyone, everyone is fair in His own eye. Like you said, you're not sure, but look at this example, the air. you can't see it, you can feel it, but how do you know it's their? but also, you can't see God, does that mean you don't believe. you can feel God, sometimes, it may not be the most physical apperance, but letting you live everyday would be a gift and a feel that God is giving to you. this example is from the Bible in John chapter 3 which is in the New Testament. and if you don't have a Bible you can go to biblegateway.com i hope this helps you! =)

gods exist only in the minds of desperate people hoping to believe in something that will save them from their miserable lives. You are correct about christians. They only care about money. Look at scum like pat "robber"tson or rev. schuler and his crystal palace church. How do you think he got that church........from god???? Both god and satan do not exist. These are characters that were invented to show people what is right and wrong. All ancient cultures believed in gods whether it was the Egyptians and their gods of Osiris, Hathor, etc. In fact the story of Osiris rising from the dead is similar to that of Jesus. In Greek culture there is Zeus who when portrayed in art looks similar to the image given to the christian god. Rome, Babylon, Assyria, all the ancient cultures had gods to worship but none of them were real and faded away after thousands of years.
In actuality, the chrisitan religion is based on many facets of the pagan religion except without the violence against those who did not adhere to christianity.
Religion is corrupt. It is the basis for all the wars that were ever fought and are still being fought. (The Crusades, wars in the Middle East, Northern Ireland, Spain, The Balkans, etc.)
If a god existed, explain what happened to the Jews in Germany, or September 11, or the tsunami, or any other catastrophe where innocent people have died or been killed. Or is the mythical satan more powerful than god?
You would do well to believe in yourself and the good that people can do rather than a book of fairy tales written by men over 2,000 years ago. Your prayers will never be answered unless you are in the right place at the right time.

The evidence is all around you. Many people believe that all creation happened due to chance or evolution. Consider these facts about our marvelous earthly home---
The earth is placed at just the right distance from the sun, its source of energy in the form of light and heat.
It moves around the sun at just the right speed, and rotates on its axis every 24 hours, and has just the correct angle of tilt.
It has a protective, life-sustaining atmosphere with just the right mixture of gases.
It provides the water and soil needed to grow food.
It provides a variety of delicious and colorful fruits, vegetables and other foods.
We also are able to enjoy the beauty that exists in the sky such as rainbows, the stars and a moonlit night.
We enjoy the mountains, the streams and lakes, the varieties of beautiful fragrant flowers, plants and trees and so many other delightful living things.
When I consider all these things and how I am able to see in living color and can taste all the foods the earth provides, then yes---God is real and all things were created by intelligent design.

Regarding the soul---What does the Bible teach about the soul?
It teaches us that we do not have souls, we are souls. The Bible is very clear about this. At Genesis 2:7 it says: "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." (So Adam became a soul or a person.)
The Bible tells us that __
a soul can swear--Leviticus 5:4
A soul can eat--Leviticus 7:27
Animals are souls too--Leviticus 22:11
Souls can work and be destroyed--Leviticus 23:30
Souls (people) are not immortal. They die--Ezekiel 18:4, Ezekiel 18:20
Revelation 16:3-- " And the second poured out his bowl into the sea; and it became blood as of a dead man; and every living soul died, even the things that were in the sea."

If you want proof that God exists, just look in the mirror. Do you really think Evolution could have produced someone as unique as you, just by chance ? You have a spirit. You have a soul. You have an innate desire to worship something or someone. Animals do not have that. You were made in God's image. So, the image staring back at you in the mirror is special, and God loves you. No matter what. He loves you.

To examine the bible from Adam to Christ in Roman Empire #6, after the last 14 generations came through 336 BC was Greece Empire #5, and Ezra, Nehemiah, Haggai and Zechariah was handling the decree of Cyrus in 536 BC was Empire #4 to rebuild Jerusalem as foretold 200 years before, and Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Daniel were in 606 BC at Babylon Empire #3, that ended the Promised Land King, 391st year after king Solomon died 516 years after Moses died, who had come out of Egypt Empire #1, from 857 to 897 years after the flood, was 1553 BC to 1513 BC.
So Jesus was in Roman Empire #6, 2007 years ago.
Where did we get the O.T. 39 books of 1110 years, to done 443 BC, N.T. 27 books, 50 to 100 after Christ to done, and published to the world 1611 after Christ 396 years ago at 2007.

As a born-again Christian, all I can say is keep your focus on Christ. Even if everyone in your life turns your back on you, Christ will never leave you. You say you are a new Christian. What does this really mean to you? Jesus Christ is the only way to God.
1 John 5:14-15 tells us, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of Him.”

The greatest answer to prayer is God granting us salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. This is the greatest blessing, the assurance of eternal salvation by the forgiveness of our sins. Focus on Jesus Christ. Study the Bible. Keep seeking God. Keep praying. He hears your prayers.
