When you are writing lengths in short form, you can note feet and yards with tick-marks. For example, 1',6" is one foot six inches. I am marking out yardages of fabric, and I would much prefer a one-symbol mark than having to use the letter abbreviation every time, but I don't know if there is a yards mark in this set. Is there a standard symbol for yards, or only the "yds." abbreviation?

I specifically need length yards, not square yards. I'm making clothes, not sails, so square yardage isn't how I'll be buying fabric. :-)
