Yes it's your heater core leaking. You should have it replaced ASAP. As for the poster who advises using a stop leak additive, you could plug up small important coolant passeges in your engine by doing this. This is NOT a job I would recommend to a DIY. The instrument panel needs to be removed. Therefore, it's a major undertaking.

it is most likely the heater core, when they first start to go out they can still give off heat. The other option is it could be one of the lines leading to the heater core; however with this problem you should be able to see a leak somewhere and this is less likely to cause the fogging of the windows. I would take the vehicle to a reputable mechanic in your area and get a quote on replacing the heater core before it completely goes out

Radiator Stop leak may temporarily fix the problem but it could cause problems such as stop ups elsewhere in the system, I do not recommend this as a repair.....you need to have it properly replaced...I have had bad experiences with this stuff

Sounds like a heater core but when you change it be sure to replace the spring clamps on the heater hoses to screw clamps.A customer of mine brought his car to our Lincoln dealership after having another Lincoln dealership replace his heater core 4 times and was still smelling coolant, windows steaming up, and carpet wet.All that was wrong was weak clamps leaking and running through the firewall into the interior of the car.

A neighbor had an same 'ninety 3 motor vehicle, with an same difficulty. in certain circumstances it would want to start up after a 2 minute "wait", in certain circumstances it took 2 hours. It became out to be a gas injection difficulty. He became in that Towncar for a M-Benz and is now a lot happier and claims he feels a lot extra protect.

Yes your heatercore is probably leaking, it will still give heat but needs to be replaced before it gets worse.Don't add stopleak to the coolant, it plugs radiators and cores.

You have much bigger problems than the heater. Your car could have a faulty cruise control switch that can blow-up and kill you, even when not in use. see switchfires.com
