While this might seem odd to you, you might consider using pain as a form of therapy for the pain of the disease.

I am active in the BDSM and adult spanking communities, and you would be surprised at just how many fibro patients I have come to know during my experience in the scene. The reason for this is that they use the sensations created during these types of play as a therapy against the pain of fibro. Many such people try to achieve a state referred to as "subspace." This is an endorphin rush created when your body's pain threshold is overcome, and is effectively similar to a "runner's high." Endorphins are natural pain relievers, and the resulting high can last for days, giving the person an effective period that the fibro's symptoms are minimized.

I have given consensual spankings to several young ladies that used this sort of treatment, and they all seemed to benefit from it. While it is "alternative medicine" at its best, it's still effective and should be considered.

Oh, bless your heart - I understand desperate - I have fibro, too.

Have you looked into the guaifenesin protocol? Personally, I found it too restrictive, but it's supposed to be fantastic.

Good luck to you - I'm just *finally* bouncing back after a major flare-up. God bless and TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!!

(One thought - are you getting enough GOOD rest? I know that's a huge problem for me. And spiritual/emotional healing DOES help - quite a bit.)
