Ugh....
My first suicidal thought occured at the age of eleven for no apparent reason and I've been struggling with those thoughts since that day.
I used to know a girl (don't know if she's still alive), who had attempted suicide three times by the age of 19. They say people who attempt repeatedly but fail are very likely to go through with it at some point if things don't change.
I sometimes feel very much like I want to live, but then I have days where none of it seems to matter and I'd rather just be somewhere else. But I'm rather determined to stay here. I'm not actively thinking of killing myself, and hope I never do again. I've known so many people who committed/attempted suicide ther's little wonder I don't think of it myself. Actually, my grandfather died at about 40 by shooting himself in the head. I never met him, obviously...but I certainly heard the stories. There seems to be a nice little strain of mental illness running in my family; we're all crazy somehow.

I find it an extremely selfish option-my father attempted suicide when I was 14 and it's a terrible thing for a family to go through and something that even if the person survives their attempt the family never gets over. There are always other alternatives to such a cowardly act.

after serving in the military for 8 years. and surviving 2 wars.. I was suicidal.. I remembered a lesson from sunday school as a child that all suicides go straight ot hell..first and foremost.. after a couple sessions of counseling.. things were in a much better perspective.. anybody even thinking of suicide should seek professional help immediately.. its nothing to play with.. I almost drank myself to death..I now have liver problems. and kidney problems that are just now getting back to normal.. after 20 years.

Tried it a few times, glad it didn't work as I now have a beautiful wife and 2 absolutely amazing kids - suicide is never an answer, take it from someone who knows.

I have worked as a psychiatric nurse for many years. One night I was call to another unit. There everyone was standing at a patients room door. I looked in at there was a male patient hanging by his neck from a sprinkle head. I yelled to help me get him down.. I checked for breathing and pulse.. There was none.. I began CPR . Paramedic were called and took him away.. He died..For years after wards I could smell him It's a sad thing.....
Love life always!!!!

This summer my cousin attempted suicide. Last month my friend cut herself badly and became VERY suicidal. I was so scared, she IM'd me and told me she wanted to kill herself. I was so scared. I started shaking and crying and kept talking to her and called her mom. It's scary to be suicidal ( I guess) but it's also scary trying to talk someone out of it.
