You can...I do it sometimes. I just use butter when I'm making it. It makes it super yummy!!! :-)

It will taste better (fresher) if you use frozen bread,just butter the outsides as usual,cover the sandwich with a lid while cooking and be sure not to use too much heat, cook on low because it will take a bit longer for the cheese to melt.

I keep my bread in the freezer and make my sandwiches on the George Foreman (including grilled cheese) without thawing first.

Pop it in the microwave for a few seconds to thaw quickly. Don't let it go too long or it will dry out.

put the bread in the microwave for about 20 seconds(for 2 slices) or until it's thawed. don't use frozen bread.

yes! spread margarine or butter on one side. low heat pan... the bread will defrost while grilling. make sure to use low heat until its defrosted!!
