credit fraud?

my bf had is ss card stolen a long time ago he was early 20s and did not have a drivers licesne that person used it to get one and has been driving around on a cdl .. then he got tickets and it was supended.. my bf has been trying to get all this cleared up .. he is 30 now and never had a driver liscens.. i went on line to pull up his credit and that guy is also using his ss to get credit and not paying for it... we took out police reports and contacted the fraud division that the ss office told us.. and it has been months since then and nothing.. what elas can we do..they guy has been in ga.. fl..ca.. all over the us.. he never stays still

we tried to get him a new ss number.. but they dont seem to want to give him one

You need to go to the FTC site and fill out an id theft affidavit. You will also need to file this will all the credit bureaus. Keep all the police reports etc that you have. It is very hard to fight an id theft. I am currently helping 2 individuals right now in doing so.
It is a long and drawn out process that takes time to remedy sometimes not even to the best of results. If you email me I will be glad to assist in any way I can do so.

Unfortuanley your bf was a slacker to 10 years by not getting the card shut down then.
AND it takes ID not a CC to get a CDL . . . something is fishy in his story . . . maybe he's a con ? but if not. . .
He will have to be very persistent and call about 2 X a week to everyone until this is cleared up. Call SS for a new number repeatedly, when denied, ask to speak to a supervisor . . . he must be pleasant but persistent .
They will mostly blow you off because they figure he is a slacker about his business if he does not come or call, they figure why bother.
He let this mold for 10 years, now it will take a long time to clean up BUT it can be done. good luck
