There are plenty of Religious Rock and Roll bands, I love good music, but really lets be truthful here, if you listen to the lyrics of certain bands there are untones of just that, you find it in all sorts of music though. Listen to rap sometime. You can't tell me that killing, sex and drugs and all that stuff is uplifting. Music can touch one in ways that no other media can. It does influence people and it does have an affect just like good friends and the ones that we hang with. I don't not listen to something just because it's a taboo, I had my cousin accuse my kids one time of following witch craft because one of Ricki Martin's songs talked about it. He got all bent out of shape. Look at KISS parents thought they were horrible, my heck they are mellow compared to what's out there now. It's just being choosey about what you listen to but there's nothing wrong with good music even if it is loud and fun.

Dunno, possibly Elvis and his pelvis had something to do with it! LOL, heavily in spite of the undeniable fact that.........maximum Christians (self secure) locate the lyrics offensive. i merely can't see the factor of the vulgarity in them. And it fairly is coming from somebody who has been to work out Aerosmith, Saliva and KISS. I merely prefer i might've long previous to work out Led Zeppelin and Queen when I had the prospect, darn it! LOL! there is an undesirable lot of rock music available i admire and that i'm continually up for listening to some new form of music, yet hip hop, gangsta rap and a super form of of the incredibly heavy steel stuff merely pass away me chilly. i think of it incredibly is a waste of expertise. and that i do pay attention to an undesirable lot of Christian rock, yet supply me that previous time rock and roll any day in comparison to a super form of the stuff it incredibly is available immediately. LOL, i admire Celtic music and classical, too. a super form of fundamentalist religions do sense that rock music belongs to devil and, regrettably, in addition they incorporate present day Christian rock, too. They worry the impact of the lyrics, i think of, greater advantageous than the incredibly beat (rhythms?) of the songs. and that they do have a valid factor. look at lots of the horrendous issues young babies have finished and then later suggested how heavily prompted they have been by particular songs or artists. A copout? could be.

Satan can use anything to decieve men; Rock and Roll is a big one.

SO CAN GOD

Christians need to step out and use the gifts God gave them for his glory!

I have 43 Led Zeppelin songs on my iPod.. More than any other band. I don't let that music control me, however. The Christian music is where I get the fulfillment and peace.

Its a whole stereotype thing. Just like how most people connect rap music with prison and black people.. some connect heavy rock, as demonic... Its just, you have one artist like Marilyn Manson that basically worships the devil.. they become famous and make everyone else who doesn't really know rock.. think all rock artists are similar. I guess its also stereotyped because most rock artists wear black, with the heavy eye liner.. and in the music videos.. some videos seem scary. I guess i know what your talking about.. but you have to put yourself in their shoes... its all about publicity.. and that's whats being publicized

Well, if anyone knows Satan well, it would be religious people, seeing as how they're the only ones that believe he exists.

I don't know but there are some religions- apostolic for one- that believe if it's not gospel, it's of the devil. Then there are others who make Christian songs with rap music or rock music. Who knows why some of them think the way they do. I think alot of them are like cults.

Lets be real, he seeks to influence people through all forms of music. If he sought to cause Jesus to stumble using the word of God, how much more likely is it that he uses music and anything else to do the same. What better way to indoctrinate someone than to have them sing a song over and over and over in their head?

Blame is the name of the game. The God's are maligned, or the stars aren't aligned. Blame is better to give than receive.

Because most of it talks of evil things.
Hard Rock will sing about Satan (Devil).
Softer Rock will glorify sex out side the marriage, adulterous sex, drinking, drugs, and more.
