i have had several children and have quite a few stretch marks,and i also have had surgery that left pretty bad scarring ,so i am wondering what works the best to get rid of bad scars??

stretch marks may sometimes appear because of dehydrated skin that's why it's not as elastic as it should be.
so one solution is to moisturize it...Try using Palmer's Cocoa Butter lotion or the Cocoa Butter Tummy Lotion for Stretch Marks...
use any body butter or lotion that has Cocoa Butter & Vitamin E. both are very good for skin regeneration.
palmer's got lotsa products for scars and stretch marks...
i used palmer's for my scar it worked! it was totally gone! I love palmers :)
im sure their stretchmarks line works too... :)

There's a product called Bio-Oil thats excellent for a large number of skin complaints - scar tissue being one of them

Use it 2-3 times a day for about 3 months and you should notice an improvement. You can add about 5 drops to a tub of bathwater too.

mederma works very well
I had a pin put in my hip, and being a 14 year old, I was upset at how the scar looked
I used mederma, and it smoothed the scar out and made it paler
It worked very well!
