The 14thC was a deeply religious time. We can count on one hand how many atheists there were then. The plague did not affect this at all. They did become more morbid in their general outlook and more fatalistic. While it certainly didn't make anyone MORE religious it certainly didn't turn them away as most people would not even have comprehended the option of not believing!!!

If anything more people believed in G-d after the plague than before. It was a time of great spiritual awakening.

Actually, I'd imagine the Plague led more people to religion. If you lived, it must have been a miracle and all those other people who died just didn't believe enough.

I would think the people who lived would turn to religion to help calm them down, and they would feel they had been saved or spared for some purpose.
Thus, none (or at least very few) would become atheist due to the plague.

I would hope ALL, but thats not going to happen. Did you know Germanic Christians slaughtered Jews via the Popes orders during that time?
