It depends on the type of cough you have. Robitussin is for productive coughs. Delsym is for dry coughs.

You look for something best if you have a list of something good. Cough syrups are generally useless.or marginally benificial. Cough supprrsent should be used only if cough is dry and annoying. they shoudl not be used in productive cough and all are almost same. expectorants are also almost same.

Anything with Guifenesin in it - I use the generic it is just as good. Something else that works is Musinex or its generic
