Find something he likes and is good at, like school or a moral compass, and notice that before him.

You can say it gradually.
If he tells a funny joke or a not so funny one, say to him, "Haha, I love your sense of humor (whether you're sarcastic or not)", then you can go on to say "I love your smile, your [insert], your [insert], and then maybe you can even then say, You!"

just tell him how much u appreciate him, txt him with "i love u" for no special reason, tell him he looks good today, or smells good. what ever u know will make him feel good.

just give him lil' conpliments like " hey goodlookin' " or " you blook handsome today!" same thing girls want...we just don't admit it...lol
