I am sticking with XP ( I don't like the Direct rights Management in Vista (aka direct restritions management). Does nayone know if there is Direct Rights Management with Outlook 2007, and is it even worth the upgrade other than for cosmetic reasons? My outlook 2003 works fine and I don't want ot reinvent the wheel....but if it s good upgrade then i would consider it for my new laptop...

All in all, any new version that MIcrosoft produces is ALWAYS worth it from a security and user standpoint.

Lastly, you need to do your research on the DRM before slamming it.

If you have 2003 Stick with it.

Although the new version of Outlook (all of Office) have a nice new interface, There is really y no gee whiz reason to upgrade.. I have not found Outlook 2007 to be any more stable etc. than 2003. It is slower in general, and make sure you have enough ram CPU etc. I wouldn't run it on less than a Gigabyte Ram and 2 GHZ proc. and expect anything I would consider decent performance.

One nice area of improvement is that when outlook crashes or you computer locks up etc. and the file is closed improperly Outlook will reopen it and let you work in it while it repairs. This is a nice change from having it tell you to wait while it spends twenty minutes repairing it.

I have found several annoying bugs which might at some time be addressed in a service pack. Wait till then and see if performance improves.

It is worth upgrading to 2007.
If you've already using Outlook2003, there is no reason to upgrade to 2007.
You cannot print the first page of email only with outlook 2007.
