My airbag needs a new clock spring and the warning chime is sounding constantly and is driving me crazy. I live in a remote area and have to wait around 2 weeks for the part to arrive, is there anything i can do in the meantime? It's so annoying that i have to drive with the sound on full blast and i'm getting strange looks from other motorists!

This chimes is in a small box under the dash. Lesion for the chimes and just unplug it.
(Note) sometimes these chimes are connected to the key switch and may not allow you to start the car.

If I was you, I would start with the fuse box. There should be a fuse for the airbag system. Try pulling the fuse and see if that shuts it off. If there is no airbag system fuse, or pulling it doens't shut off the buzzer, try some of the other fuses. Keep in mind this is only a temporary way to stop the noise. Once you repair your airbag system, be sure to replace all the appropriate fuses. Give that a shot.

DID YOU MEAN A GRAND CHEROKEE?THERE IS NO WAY FOR YOU TO DISABLE THIS CHIME SINCE IT IS AN INTEGRAL PART OF YOUR BODY CONTROL MODULE WHICH ALSO CONTROLS A LOT OF THINGS IN YOUR CAR.I SAY JUST LEAVE IT W/ THE DEALER SINCE THIS IS A WARRANTY REPAIR I HOPE.IF IT BOTHERS YOU THAT MUCH GET A RENTAL FOR THE MEANTIME.THIS IS ALSO PART OF A SAFETY SYSTEM BUILT IN THE CAR.
