Crock pot on high for 3 to 4 hours in liquid. add onions, carrots, and potatos for last hour.

Crock pot on low for 6 to 8 hours with added veggies for 1 1/2 hours at the end.

Will be fork tender and yummy.

On stovetop sear both sides in deep fry pan on super high heat. Lower heat to med low and simmer for about 1 hour. Add the veggies here for the last hour too iffin ya want

It depends on what you want to do w/it. I like mine slow cooked in a crock pot, about 8-12 hrs. However, in a regular oven at 350 degrees, I would say 1 1/2 hrs for rare, 2 hrs for medium and 3 hrs for very well done (covered in foil). You could always check it in between because some ovens cook differently than others.

I would cook it long and slow. Brown it first in a skillet on high heat (seal in the juices) Add some red wine or boullion (liquid), you could sprinkle a package of lipton onion soup mix over the top, cover it and cook for 4 hours at 275 degrees. It will smell marvelous and have a great gravy!
