There can be many symptoms to this std. The immediate thing you need to do is go get tested. It is so easily spread around that you can give it to anyone you share anything with, such as glass, sex, chapstick things like that. If you have it you will start showing symptoms 2-5 days after the "incident". There will be a burning sensation when urinating, or a white, yellow, or green discharge from the penis. Sometimes males with gonorrhea get painful or swollen testicles. In women it's different there are almost no symtoms at all.The initial symptoms and signs in women include a painful or burning sensation when urinating, increased vaginal discharge, or vaginal bleeding between periods. But these things can be misconceived as an infection. Go to the Doctor as soon as possible, even though it is not treatable you can get medicine to keep from spreading the disease.

the most common STD in the United States.

Sometimes referred to as "the clap," gonorrhea may produce signs and symptoms such as a burning sensation when urinating or a thick discharge from the penis or vagina. Many people experience mild or no signs or symptoms. Left untreated, gonorrhea can cause serious complications, especially in women.

For women the symptoms are abnormal bleeding, pus like discharge from the vagina, and painful urination. For men the majority who do have symptoms may experience: a yellow pus-like discharge from the tip of the penis, stinging during urination,
frequent urination, blood in the urine, swelling of the glands in the groin, the head of the penis may turn red. This is a sexually transmitted disease and if you suspect you have it - you should see a doctor right away - It is easily treated.

Men sometimes have the telltale "drip" coming out of the penis, and women often don't have any symptoms. So the best way is to get the test--this involves a long q-tip for both girls and guys.
