The scalp produces sebum, which is one of the best EFA’s. The problem arises when the length of hair exceeds the neck line or when the contact between the scalp and the hair is broken. This prevents the natural oils in the scalp from reaching throughout the hair shaft.

To replace the lost EFA’s manually, perform the following procedure:

Pour 1-2 drops of safflower oil on your palms and rub them together. The quantity should be enough to let your hands glitter in the light. Carefully take your hair when dry and apply a small quantity of oil to the ends initially and then work your way to the scalp. Let it remain in your hair.

The quantity of safflower oil used on dry hair is too small to be noticed.

Repeating the process above as frequently as possible will provide the right quantity of humectants that will attract and retain the moisture. This tiny amount will provide massive benefits.

I've heard you can beat with a fork a couple of eggs...with a bit of millk and pour over head in shower....leave on for a few minutes working it into the scalp and down the hair* then rinse*~

or

avacado you can also mush up and put onto the hair...makes it silky and shiny*

Ive never tried this....but have read it several times in many magazines*

I had the same problem and a hairdresser made the following suggestion...it has certainly worked for me!
Warm some extra virgin olive oil and massaging it into your scalp and hair. (Don't wash your hair beforehand; this works better on dry hair). Wrap your hair in clingfilm; this helps retain your body heat, which in turn will help open up the hair cuticle and allow the oil to penetrate the hairshaft. Leave it on for as long as you can (preferably overnight) then shampoo and condition as normal.
BTW..if you're going to keep it on overnight, you'll need to protect your pillows or the oil might get all over them!

You could start using natural oils in your hair such as jojoba or olive oil. Or you should use sunsilk hyrdra tlc. This is especially moisturizing and should help loosen the frizz in your hair. Just buy the whole system including the masque and after you wash your hair and use the mask. After GENTLY towel drying your hair. Rub olive oil or jojoba oil through your hair and go about your usuall routine. If you have curly hair you should try putting your hair in bantu knots or do pin curls.

only wash your hair 3 times a week with shampoo... thats whats making your hair type worse.. when you have a shower only put a lil conditioner in your hair not shampoo every time. you could also do a hot oil hair treatment that also works.. but first try not washing your hair as much.. never blow dry your hair either, so hard on your hair.

egg yolks!!!
or if you can get away with out washing your hair everyday it helps to buid up the natural oils in the hair !!!!
if that fails change shampoo n conditionar as your hair will get addicted to the nutrients in these and stop producing them itself!!!

hope this is of some use to you!!!

mayonaise! put it on damp hair then wrap your hair in cling film for half hour. It really works but takes a lot of rubbing to wash it out
