how should I get my hair cut?

Question

I am getting my hair cut on Wednesday(my b-day) and I have hair alittle bit past my sholders. I'm a dirty blonde(NOT IN A PERVERTED WAY) I like long hair but my hair looks really bad right now so I need to cut it but I want to get a hair cut that will look good when it grows out too. Please help, websites, anything.Thanks

There are several magazine-formatted books of hair styles. I usually find mine at the grocery store in the magazine aisle. They are full of many hairstyles for all types and lengths of hair.
Look through the photos with several things in mind:
--does the model have MY kind of hair?
--How much daily maintenance am I wlling to do?
--And remember, anyone can look good for the 1/60th of a second it takes to snap the photograph, so keep your expectations realistic.

After you pick out a few hairstyles, talk to your hair stylist. Show them the photos, and solicit their opinion. Remember, they're professionals, and may have information that could be helpful.

Hopefully you're not going to one of those mass-production chain places like Hair Cuttery, Great Cuts, etc. A decent hair cut shouldn't cost a week's pay, either. A good technique is if you see someone with hair like yours (straight & thick, straight & fine) ask her where she goes.

or
ask the hairdresser what would best suit your face without it going too short*
alot of girls are wearing their hair just a bit above the shoulder, layered, which gives it a sassy look .........everyones hair looks nasty when it begins to "grow out" thats why you get your hair trimmed or cut into a different style*

i went through the same thing !! i jus got my hair cut a few weeks ago !! but it all really depends on ur face shape, i tried to copy and past the pictuer of my hair cut ... but it wouldnt let me !! the pictuer is of jinnifer aniston off of an early season of friends (i love that show ) so if really board one day u can go to !! www.livesinabox.com/friends !! and scroll on down to that left side where it says pictures ... and click on jinnifer aniston!! and the one that i got was where she is in a white tank top leaning on the a deck ( i guess ) and it has a blue and white back ground !!!

and i dont have to do that much to it really !! all i do is straighten it @ nite and roll it in the morning !! and it looks jus like that !!

Hey I usually freak-out when it is time to do something with my hair. I suggest you get a side bang long enough to go behind your ear, and maybe shoulder length hair layered. That will look fabulous with Blondie hair. Trust me I'm 80% Blondie.

well for me i get my hair cut to my chin and put long layers in it DONT say ok if they ask layers long or short because short layers are well you will have really short hair did that by accident and it took some getting used to so i think approximate chin length with long layers its easy to keep you can still pull it back and style it different ways so happy birthday ad look fablous

Well get the dead end cut off an go from there I would not get it to short I got mine cut and it was past my Shoulders and now it is past my neck line,I won't get it cut short again.Happy Birthday.

well make it short and sort of come up and out at the ends. apparently that style is hot, especially for blondes.
