I've never seen a question about this on here before.

I have Asperger's Syndrome (or so my former psychologist claims). It is a form of autism. Evidently, some of the signs are being obsessed with one thing. Being good with dates (which I am). Trouble maintaining one-on-one relationships, etc.

Well, we are supposed to be intelligent. I don't think that's something that can be generalized for all people with Asperger's Syndrome. There is no cure for it, and I take enough prescription medication as it is.

Asperger syndrome is a pervasive developmental condition related to autism. It manifests in highly individual ways and can have both positive and negative effects on a person. It is typically characterized by issues with social and communication skills. Early development is normal and there is no language delay.

My friend has it, from what I understand it is a developement disorder and it effects them in how they act socially. They maynot pick up on body language or saracsm. They may have troubles taking turns talking (they talk on and on about something), have troubles starting or maintaining a conversation, they may hate changes in rountines, avoids eye contact, may lack empathy, may have a formal style of speaking... the list goes on.

They sometimes have autism or traits of autism. Their intelligence is usually avereage to above average. They may have an easier time with memorization and have advanced math skills. Sometimes they can remember things like formulas and dates easily.
