Each service has their own requirements as to academia and physcal fitness, I suggest you go talk to them. Not sure what you mean by how do they pay you? Physically its a check, if you are talking about do they pay you well, the answer is no!

the requirements are nearly the same for all of them:
age 18 ( or 17 if your parents sign ) to 42, high school diploma or GED. theres also a height / weight requirement and you must pass a physical.
they pay you via direct deposit, once or twice a month (your choice).

Yes I can I have 22 years in the service. 2yrs NG, 6yrs NR, 8yrs active duty and 6yrs AR.
