Disney's Cars the Movie. He loves that thing. Especially the part right at the beginning when Sheryl Crow is singing "Get real gone" and the elvis impersonator car comes out and goes "unghh!". He has the timing down pat.

CARS CARS CARS - can you tell were Disney Cars fans round here ;). Toy Story, and Curious George are also popular. You could also buy his favorite cartoon possibly. We got Barney and Little Einsteins DVDs fairly cheap and that meant we could buy a couple.

Try any of the Elmo movies (Sesame Street). We did several trips with our little girl at that age and she loved them. Also, I'd avoid anything scary or too loud...the trip will be stressful enough.

The 2 year old I watch can sit for hours with "Baby Einstien".

It has a setting to play on repeat, and he will sit completely still watching it over and over if I have to clean or cook.
