She started in september 05 and quit at the end of Jan 07 can anybody tell me will she be entitled to the loan given to her fof this terms loan.Because she is thinking of staying on until the end od the term.

Hi Lesley

Your daughter will be entitled to keep any loan payments she has already received. She will repay them in the normal way once she starts earning over £15,000. She will repay 9% of any income above that, i.e. if she starts a job earning £20,000 she will be repaying 9% of the additional £5000 per year (about £38 a month).

If she has received any Maintance Grant though she will have to repay any money calculated by the local authority from what the University state as her last date of attendance.

I would suggest you contact your local authority and have a chat with them regarding it. Your daughter will need to inform them in writing that she is no longer attending as it is a condition of her award to keep them informed of any changes.

if she goes back to university she will get her loan
