Islam gives more rights to women.
Are people voting me down based on objective evidence? Most scholars would argue that Muhammad gave revolutionary reforms in women's rights. Europe may have caught up and initiated other reforms, but these do not come from Christianity. They are based on various intellectual movements. If one answers objectively, the answer must be Islam.

This might be true in the teachings of the religion but it is typically not a part of the accepted practice of the religion, especially when that religion is the state or official religion.
Strictly Islamic theocracies are HORRIBLE to the Women they govern, have turned them into the slaves of the men in their lives, and give them few rights, if any. While a religion or religious documents may teach one thing, it is usally quite another that becomes the adopted practice. Usually the religion is "interpreted" to allow this mistreatment of people who are not in the majority or who do not have political power themselves.
Practically, both religions when adopted as the law of a certain land have treated Women worse than men, with some minor deviations. Whenever a religion is co-opted to govern the masses, one group or another typically becomes subservient.

Hands down, the New Testament Bible gives more rights to women than any other religion.
God knows and teaches that divorce is not good. for anybody...as anyone who has gone through a divorce knows. Men are not given any exemption from God's prohibition.
There is no restriction given which says that women can't own property. Though the society of the time tried to hold on to it.
There is no preference given to men about being charge of money....they are joint heirs.
Adam was just as rebuked and made to pay the penalty for disobedience to God as Eve was.
People think that Islam is much more restrictive of women because they are still required by law to wear what their husbands demand. They are still treated like animal property that can be punished or thrown away by their parents at a young age and their husbands when they get married.
It was Christians that fought for freedom on women in the USA. Muslims have not plans to change.

Christianity doesn't give the "right for divorce" to any one. Read the Bible, women are not ever forbidden to own property. The husband and wife should not be financially independent from each other at all. Either way that would be wrong. They are a single body, Independence is foreign to the concept of marriage. And the Bible says, "In Adam all die" so the idea that Eve is blamed is just plain idiotic.

Islam , its the last update from God. Islam gave the women the right to divorce their husbands. Remember most Christians were Catholics 1400 years ago.

Although Islam have some rights for women, they cant be carried out for the modern Muslim man thinks the wife is a slave.
Christianity give more freedom to women. In Asia, the women are teated like catle. its very sad.girls are killed at birth just because they are girls, women are circumcised ( removal of their clitoris) just not to make them horny or sexy.
They can't mix with men in their mosques, they eat separately and are shunned when they have their periods.

How come we always see men praying in a mosque without women? Why are women not allowed to go out unescorted? They even have to answer to their sons. Why are Muslim men told it's ok to beat their wives? Why do Muslim women not care if their husband has more than one wife? How little do you think of yourself that you would share your spouse with up to 3 other women? How come some Muslim nations don't allow women an education? In Islam, women are property. Apparently allah doesn't like women. God loves us though!!
May God Bless you.

Um, I dont know where you got those facts, but that is just western civilization. Not Christianity. In fact, if you read in the bible about the Proverbs 31 woman, you will see that God held her in the highest regard and she actually ran the house, did business and handled the money.
Christian women are regarded very highly. God commanded men who marry women to love them as God loves the Church. (As Jesus loves the Bride)
God actually punished man more than women for the fall in the garden. Eve now felt pain during childbirth, but men were given the task of providing for the woman and working the ground.

women should not be beaten
or told how they can dress
or kept from going where they want
or denied education or career
or have their marriages chosen for them
or have to share their husbands with other wives
I am not sure in Christian homes that men always have the upper hand regarding finances. I agree with you that Eve got more than her share of the blame, but Adam was punished too. You make some interesting points.

You are confusing religion with the state. We don't have that here in America. Christianity is not the law of the state.
What good does it do your wives to have her own money when she can't buy a car to drive to the mall and buy clothes? Or get an education?
