the reason im considering skin so soft on my dog is because my dogs are itchy and someone suggested it from past experience but i dont know which one exactly. they mentioned liquid but is that shower gel?

I use skin so soft oil to bath my dogs it is the most incredible non toxic flea reppellent I have ever used aside from advantage / frontline. it is not harmful at all as long as you do not let them drink a bottle of it. it also works great as a mosquito repellent for people and animals . mosquitos cause heartworm in dogs and cats which is fatal.

I have used garlic in my dogs food for many years helps with bugs also for humans also. I have had all kinda dogs but as of now I have a pitbull and two huskys and they are both in good health with the garlic and so am I.
I was going to try to use skin so soft for my pitbull because she has dry skin really bad. I have tryed to change foods that dont work. She just has skin allergies, dry skin as people would do and the time of the year is changing so of course there skin will change. Find what best works for your dog and that means trying new or different things go for it..
If something happens u always have your veterinarian near by.
Good luck to you and good luck to me and all the other animal lovers as well.
If your worry about them licking it eaither get a cone or a mussle until it drys and sets into your dogs skin.

A lot of people who have dogs with sensitive skin report that using a little drop of Skin so Soft in the bath water for a dog works wonderful.
Garlic is fine for a dog as long as they are not allergic to it. Just do not give them a large amount. Sprinkle a little garlic salt on their food is about it.

The reason skin and hair products for humans aren't always the best for dogs is that dogs lick themselves. Does SkinSoSoft have poison control warnings on it? How severe are they?
Bear in mind, poison control warnings are based around babies chugging an entire bottle. Your dog would never lick up even a teaspoon at a time.
I've never tried it, but it's sensible to try cheap products to relieve your dog's itching before you go a more expensive route. Often, itching is caused by an allergy. While you're at it, try changing his food and see if that helps.

Hiya
you are asking quite abit so lets detangle here...
Itching is likely down to food intolerance so I would suggest that you test her for intolerance to what you are feeding, it is quite a long winded post so I ask that you log onto our site
www.eurobichons.com
join to access all the info then look up in search box itching, lots of advice there.
Now for part two, Garlic is actually toxic to dogs eventhough they do like it, many can tolerate it but Japanese breeds CANNOT it will prove fatal.
Doses are akin to what a kiddie can have , so its per pound of dog to 1/8 clove of garlic mixed in oil such as oilive oil , cod liver oil etc,
Garlic can actually weaken the blood and cause severe anaemia in dogs so its really important that you get it right.
good luck

garlic won't "clean his blood" it won't hurt him either,, does your dog have hair??? if so why would you want to put AVON on him?? this question makes no sense,,, or did i just fall prey to a practical joker??
